Stephanie Denise Emery, December 7, 1962- April 3, 2025, 62 years old
As Stephanie Denise Emery finished her journey in this life on Thursday, April 3, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones holding her hands, she got to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face-to-face as He gently took her hand to lead her into Heaven to be forever with Him and her loved ones who have gone there before her. Stephanie was born on December 7, 1962, in Jacksonville, FL, to Kenneth Nathan and Carolyn Spaulding. As a young child, she went to church and received Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Stephanie was known for her gentleness, kindness, and beauty on the inside and out. She had a great sense of humor and the best laugh. Her compassion for others led her to become a nurse for Baptist Medical Center and then at the Borland Groover Clinic, where she retired. She loved people, but most especially her family. She was a devoted wife to Roger for 17 years, a wonderful daughter and sister, the best mommy in the world, a loving grandmother, and the best friend that you could ever have. She will forever be loved and missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Kenneth Nathan and Carolyn Spaulding; her husband, Roger; sisters Dollie (Chuck) McGowen and Christine (Jeff) Spaulding-Balkcom; brother, KennethSpaulding Jr.; daughter, Natalie (Eric) Ealy; grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan, Ashlyn, and Emery Ealy; son Jake (Jenni); grandchildren, Caroline, Kendall, Drew, Clay; and a lot of cousins, nephews, aunts, and uncles. The Bible says in Mark 12:30-31, “ ‘And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Stephanie (Mom), you obeyed the command of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by loving Him and us faithfully to the end. We will forever love and miss you.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Oceanway. 212 Sago Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
Stephanie had a true love for her plants. If giving flowers, please consider a potted plant in lieu of cut flowers so that her family can enjoy them in her memory for many years to come.
