Steven Stanley Smith

Steven Stanley Smith, 62, passed away on Sunday September 27, 2020. He was born in Johnstown, PA., to the late Telford and Patricia (Eversole) Smith. He has lived in Jacksonville most of his life and was a graduate of ED White High School Class of 1976, and was Baptist by faith. He is preceded in death by his grandchildren Abbie Smith and Ricky Lambert, brother, Gary Smith. Steven loved spending time with his family, going to yard sales, working in the yard and on his truck. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Phyllis; son, Phillip Smith (Jarah); daughter Ashley Smith; sisters, Diana George (Steve), Burma Harbison (John) and Kellie Hathaway (Rj) brothers, Tommy Griffis (Tina), and Ricky Doggett; grandchildren, Phillip Jr., Kaelyn, Paetyn, and Bailey, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 2, 2020 at 3pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. David Cox officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday starting at 2pm at the funeral home.
