Arnett - Tollie Arnett, age 78, passed away at home on the morning of December 3, 2025, after a lengthy illness. He was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, class of 1965. After graduation, Tollie served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam. Upon returning home and earning his honorable discharge from the Army, Tollie went to work as a cable repairman for the Southern Bell Telephone company. He retired from Bellsouth Telecommunications after 30 years of service. Tollie was an avid country music fan and record collector. He loved fishing, yard work, watching football and traveling the world on Disney cruises with his family. Tollie will be missed by his family and his many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Maude Arnett; brothers, Thomas “Tombo” and Patrick Arnett; sister, Doris Rumsey; and son, James “Jimmy” Allan Arnett.
Tollie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandy Arnett; daughter, Tammy Lynn Scott; and grandsons, David Evans Scott, IV and Daniel Thomas Scott.

A Celebration of Tollie’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Mayfield officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 Main Street North, Jacksonville, Florida, 32206.
