William K Brown

Brown - William K. Brown, age 81, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, William dedicated 44 years of his life to Winn-Dixie, where he retired as an Assistant Manager. He was a man of strong faith and commitment, serving as a devoted Deacon at Victory Celebration Church. William had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, but above all, he cherished time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his loved ones, Margaret and Marie.

William leaves behind a large and loving family, including his children, grandchildren, and too many great-grandchildren to name:

Marie (predeceased): Jason (1), Allen (Savannah), Aimee (Chris) (3), William Brady (2)

Jeanmarie (Melvin): Christopher (Sarah) (1), Timmy (1)  

Michael: Chelsee (2), Emma, Brandon, Bailey, Melanie  

William’s legacy of love, service, faith, and devotion to family will live on through all who knew him.

A Celebration of William’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, with Bro. Jim Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, where he will be laid to rest by his beloved wife, Marie and where military honors will be rendered. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
