William George Palmer, 91, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021.  He was born in Argyle, Michigan to the late John and Myrtle (Prodel) Palmer. Bill was the first apprentice graduate and a lifetime member of Michigan Ironworkers Local 25, retiring in 1988 as a highly respected tradesman. Bill attended Sandusky High School where he excelled as an all-star athlete as well as a Pontiac Golden Glove Champion.  Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Navy.

He is preceded in death by stepson Jack Hogan, Jr. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife of 21 years, Alva Williams Hogan Palmer. They met much later in life but thoroughly cherished their time together traveling back and forth from Florida to Michigan visiting family and friends, and maybe stopping at a casino or two along the way.  Bill is survived by his son, Tom Palmer (Connie); daughter, Sheri Blecker (Harry); grandchildren, Amy VanDyke, Greg Palmer and Matthew Blecker; stepson, Al Hogan and stepdaughter, Melody Hogan Hunter.  Bill always enjoyed spending time with their host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and many close friends along with the constant companionship of their faithful canine rescue, Chevy.
