Wilton Lee Sapp, Sr. passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. He was born in Knoxville, Kentucky on January 3, 1942 to Willie Sapp and Eva (Adams) Sapp and has lived in Jacksonville/Callahan, Florida all of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Sapp, his mother, Eva (Adams)Sapp, his twin brother, Willie Sapp, his youngest brother, Wayne Sapp, his first grandchild, Robert Brian Starling, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years of marriage, Maxine Sapp, his three children, oldest daughter, Gloria Lee Sapp, his son, Wilton Lee Sapp, Jr., and his youngest daughter, Marina Eve Sapp. His adopted daughter, Tammy Haddon. Grandchildren, Christin Easterling, Kayla Morris, Leah Sapp, Seth Joyner. Great Grandchildren, Jocelyn Hanner, Alivia Gibson, Darron Gibson, Alex Hanner, Ethan Sapp, Liam Sapp. His sister, Glenda Kirkpatrick, brother, Winston Sapp. And a host of other loved family and friends.
Mr. Sapp was loved by all family and friends. He was a man that loved his football team, GO GATORS! He loved to fish.
His career passion was welding. And his amazing wife Maxine, that he called, his woman. In loving memory, he will be dearly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 12:30 pm, in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida, with Pastor, Arlie John's officiating.
The Family will receive Friends at 12 pm at the Funeral Home
The family would like to extend an invitation to a Celebration of Life dinner immediately following the ceremony, located Dunn's Creek Baptist Church, 1425 Starratt Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
